Global Education Teacher Summit #GETsummit2023

It’s Winter .. in the midst of my usual run from cold weather .. Im in Jamaica and got invited to the Global Education Teacher Awards Reception for uselite.org’s US Elite Track and Field Inc.

Im a little too lazy and tired to drop too many sentences .. let’s just say I had a blast that evening and the next day at the summit.

I will say I was in the room with a Shero or two and some gents I regard quite highly.

The summit is designed for professional development, skilling, reskilling, and upskilling participants to address the knowledge and learning gaps caused by the pandemic. The goals are to equip participants with essential skills, innovative practices, and evidence-based strategies to navigate and solve problems relative to the modern student and 21st century classroom. It is also designed to give education stakeholders a bird’s eye view of the pandemic challenges, best practices, and lessons learned across the landscape of education and targeted areas for improvement for 2030.

“On Dec 17th Courtney’s stars of tomorrow and the Concert Chorale will be performing Handel’s Messiah in KINGSTON, JAMAICA. We will be presenting The Messiah, spirituals as well as seasonal songs. This project is a personal one.

Not only because these are some of the most talented musicians I know, but because they will perform in my homeland Jamaica, and for a worthy cause. Part proceeds of this event will go towards establishing a designated Burn unit for victims of fire in #Jamaica.
